Warehouse Assistant

Full-Time

Indianapolis, IN

Compensation DOE: Up to $21/hr.

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and a commitment to maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse environment.

What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Assistant:

As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the smooth flow of products through our facility. From receiving and storing inbound shipments to staging and assisting with outbound orders, you’ll help ensure accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Warehouse Assistant Duties Include:

• Handling inbound products with accuracy, including verifying shipments, inspecting for damage, and properly racking items

• Maintaining accurate product locations and records in warehouse systems

• Pulling, staging, and assisting with outbound shipments to ensure completeness and quality

• Safeguarding customer-owned products, maintaining proper storage, and updating inventory charts

• Supporting facility upkeep by keeping aisles, dock areas, and warehouse spaces clean and organized

• Performing light building maintenance (e.g., replacing bulbs, snow removal, skid breakdowns)

• Safely operating material handling equipment and following all company safety policies

• Completing required training and cross-training (forklift operation, proper lifting techniques, etc.)

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior warehouse or furniture handling experience preferred

• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds

• Certification (or ability to be certified) on company-owned material handling equipment

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

• Computer aptitude and willingness to learn new systems (Hedberg)

• Ability to react quickly in fast-paced situations and maintain customer focus
