DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Act as the subject matter expert for the team for improving the StatPro composite system and related technology, by actively participating, leading, and managing projects end-to-end including testing of system tools, reporting, and enhancements. Support front-office, marketing, and Request for Proposal (RFP) teams as it pertains to GIPS compliant composite performance. Manage the annual US GIPS composite verification including communicating project planning and results and implementing any required improvements to ensure the company maintains compliant. Collaborate and deliver innovative solutions to complex composite related client demands. Identify and correct data and process and system problems. Engage with relevant internal teams to eliminate recurrent problems that impact our deliverables. Contribute to the annual review and update of the firm's policies and procedures as required by GIPS. Perform user acceptance testing and validation on system and reporting enhancements and conversions which include analysis of large volumes of financial data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Performance Analyst, Trading/Banking Analyst, GIPS Composite Analyst, or related occupation. Experience can be gained pre- or post-Bachelor’s degree.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills: U.S. and Emerging Markets including Latin America (LATAM), Mexico, and Brazil market structure and products including Fixed Income, Equities, and Pooled Funds; GIPS standards for composite construction including institutional and WRAP bundle; GIPS Reports; ex post, benchmarks, and composite returns; analyzing large volume of data in Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets for analysis and reporting that include complex calculations on large databases and time series; StatPro Composite system for composite construction, calculation methodologies, and account maintenance; StatPro Interactive Reporting for custom report development to build on demand tailor made composites reports for the business and senior management; Performance reporting of ex post return and risk statistics calculations; understanding and analyzing business processes and initiatives to identify risks, improve processes, and develop innovative solutions; account level performance calculation methodologies; and automation with Alteryx workflow solution. Experience in the skills can be gained pre- or post-Bachelor’s degree.
