What you’ll do:
Shape the future of truck body design and manufacturing ss the Drafter for Royal Truck Body (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our manufacturing facility in Carson, CA , You will create accurate 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, contributing directly to our product development process.
Generate detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings in SolidWorks based on project requirements and engineering direction.
Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) for design projects and manage CAD drawing organization within the PDM system.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and sales teams to support project needs.
Create technical drawings and visual aids to support manufacturing processes and sales efforts.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to design improvements and problem-solving.

What you need to be successful:
Proven experience as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or in a related role
Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD design software
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles (ANSI-Y14.5)
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Word)
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
